About the Class
Many different factors affect the skin throughout any given day. The sun, pollution, foods, and genetics all play a huge role. The objective of this course is to review, update and clarify for the esthetician the client consultation, skin analysis, treatment, and home care plan.  The subjects and questions included in this class lay the groundwork for all aesthetic services and are essential tools for every esthetician.  The steps we take and the success we have are dependent on performing an all-inclusive Skin Consultation.

About the Instructor

Judy Garcia is a licensed Advanced Practice Esthetician, a C.I.D.E.S.C.O. Diplomaté, and AIE Certified Clinical Aesthetician. She is a former salon owner and adjunct instructor for Ridgewater College where she taught an advanced esthetic certificate program for three years. Judy has worked as a freelance esthetics educator and skincare product sales representative and has more than 38 years of experience in the professional beauty industry. She has traveled throughout the United States, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, and Canada teaching advanced aesthetics classes to aestheticians, cosmetologists, and medical professionals. Judy spent two and half years training with dermatologist Dr. James E. Fulton co-developer of Retin-A. Judy is the Salon and Spa Professional Associations Education Coordinator and the developer of the CORE continuing education program at SSPA where she has become an expert on infection control.
